Airespace Gets More VC

Wireless LAN switch startup Airespace Inc. has confirmed that it has received an undisclosed amount of new venture funding, but strongly denies rumors that it is on the hunt for a new CEO.

Airespace's VP of marketing, Alan Cohen, says that the company did not announce the new round because all the wonga came from existing investors.

Cohen wouldn't even reveal how much the startup has pocketed, but snorted loudly at suggestions of a $20 million-plus round this time around. Airespace has raked in a shade over $38 million in funding -- that it will talk about -- so far (see Airespace Lands Another $22M ).

And what about rumors that Airespace's current CEO Brett Galloway is to be replaced by some new hotspot hotshot?

"Balderdash!" exclaims an emphatic Cohen [ed. note: as an alternative he could have used: bunkum, blather, poppycock, or tommyrot].
