  • American workers are lazy, according to video-watching stats: 11.5 billion videos were streamed in the U.S. in March 2008. Google Sites nabs the top video content spot with roughly 800 percent more traffic than No. 2, Fox Interactive Media.

  • Ad monetization fell in April, according to AdMatic research. Social networking sites were hit the worst, as were large Websites and those based in the YouTube-addicted U.S.

  • The grudge match between Barry Diller and John Malone is over. Liberty Media has dropped its legal action against the IAC. What is hopefully the final round of the Diller-Malone partnership-gone-bad has come to end.

And, in today's News Bits: ABC launches a couple "new" TV shows this fall, and the network's parent company, Walt Disney, starts an Austin, Texas-based "research lab." Also, MySpace defeats spammers in court, and the RIAA discloses its music-pirate-catching tactics.
