Verizon has selected Motorola Inc.'s Broadband Communications Sector to provide video network infrastructure and customer premises equipment to support Verizon's expanded fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network launch next year. Motorola BCS' newly-formed Telecom Access Solutions business will also provide Verizon project management and operational and integration services. By the end of 2005, Verizon says it will pass at least 2 million homes with FTTP to deliver an integrated digital video, voice and data service offering.
