Verizon iPhone Questions

4:30 PM Will AT&T customers switch to Verizon for the iPhone, and can Big Red handle it if they do?

re: Verizon iPhone Questions

Mobile Ecosystem predicted that 10 to 20% of Verizon's customers were waiting to upgrade or even buy a smartphone for the iPhone, and that 25% of AT&T's iPhone users could switch. That seems like a lot given the specs announced today. May come down to pricing too.

I forgot to mention that Verizon Wireless CEO Dan Mead said it had been beefing up its network to accomodate the iPhone influx. But with all the Android smartphones it also has, that's still a lot of traffic.

Everyone has different experiences, but I think Verizon 3G tends to be more reliable, but slower than AT&T for the most part.

TBR estimates Verizon will steal 3 to 4.5 million subs away from AT&T in the first year alone.

I'm realizing that most consumers probably won't do the research to find out the specs are identical, other phones are just as capable, and network updates are coming...they just hear iPhone + Verizon and think they have to have it.
