Here Comes the Boss!

4:45 PM -- Today on Contentinople:

  • CBS is unapologetically marketing its March Madness On Demand coverage to at-work audiences, touting its "Boss Button," which is located above the video and allows viewers to quickly switch to a work-friendly spreadsheet when the boss approaches. Last year the boss button was used by about 2.5 million -- so many that this year the page is sponsored, by Comcast.

  • NBCU picked Conviva to help manage distribution of its live and on-demand video content online.

  • Users of Sony's PlayStation 3 and PlayStation portable devices will now be able to download NBCU TV shows, like Battlestar Galactica or The Office, and Universal pictures, such as Wanted or Milk.

And in today's News Bits, YouTube is removing music videos from its U.K. site after negotiations over royalties broke down.
