3:15 PM -- It's no secret that our FiOS Tracker co-authors are hypocritical cable subscribers. So it should come as no surprise that this week some vicious cable propaganda came over the wire:
The propaganda comes in the form of Docsis 3.0, a new cable modem capable of speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s. Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK)'s Steve Craddock was talking all kinds of smack about FiOS at the Las Vegas Cable Show, including some choice words about each and every one of Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) executives' mamas.
On the FiOS side, there's some good news for all you anglophiles out there -- you know, the ones who were all gaga in their Sunday best at the White House this week. FiOS now offers the British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC) networks, complete with British accents and everything.
So just how well is FiOS paying off for Verizon? The ultimate authority on the subject sounds off on it here
