Data Rage

The "messaging and community" session at the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) show in Vegas was by no means the most boring wireless discussion that Unstrung has ever witnessed. Usually, they're called "breakout sessions," because that's exactly what you want to do.

However, the endless hand-wringing about what works, what doesn't, will SMS succeed in North America, and can we make money from this stuff, clearly irked Airborne Entertainment president Andy Nulman.

"I've been going to wireless conferences like these for three years and if I've learnt one thing, it's that nobody knows anything," Nulman exploded after one particularly pointless exchange. "It's crap guys, it's all crap. No one knows nothing. If they knew, they wouldn't be here, they'd be down in the pit making money."

Sounds like a plan to us.
