Small Bites for Apple

9:00 AM -- While HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) was grabbing the headlines Wednesday with its swoop on Palm Inc. , another major player in the mobile space was also indulging in some M&A activities. (See HP to Buy Palm for $1.2B.)

Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) has acquired wireless chip specialist Intrinsity Inc. for around $120 million, and also snapped up smartphone app developer Siri, reports Reuters.
