Comment (0)VMware has closed its acquisition of CloudHealth, extending cloud management beyond VMware's previous capabilities in private and hybrid cloud and into the public cloud.
VMware Inc. (NYSE: VMW) closed the acquisition Thursday, the company said in a blog post.
The CloudHealth acquisition is designed to help enterprises manage workloads running on multiple cloud providers, optimizing visibility and cost, cloud resource management, security and compliance, insights and analytics, and automation and governance, VMware said. CloudHealth supports Amazon Web Services Inc. , Microsoft Azure , Google Cloud and VMware Inc. (NYSE: VMW)'s own vSphere.
VMware and CloudHealth announced the acquisition August 27, but did not announce terms and price. (See VMware Flies to Public Cloud With CloudHealth Acquisition.)
