As network speeds and capacity continue to improve, so do mobile users' appetites for data -- mobile video, specifically.

According to Cisco Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CSCO)'s latest Visual Networking Index (VNI), data consumption will continue to grow at a rate of 53% per year until 2020. By that time, a mere four years away now, the world will be using 366.8 exabytes of data on smartphones and Internet of Things devices, up from 44.2 exabytes in 2015.
