You're Lying About HD!

5:30 PM - Think you can deliver streaming online high-def (HD) content? You're lying. LYING, I tell you.

At least that's what Contentinople found out today:

  • Streaming HD doesn't really exist, said Yahoo Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) director of video strategy Rebecca Paoletti. Hmmm. Yahoo, HD, lying. What's wrong with the picture?

  • If it's not HD, maybe it's about community. Community is key to success with online audiences, said Patrick Keane, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of CBS Interactive, at the eMerging Media Forum. "To really win, you need to combine community and engagement, and go beyond just putting streams online."

  • PricewaterhouseCoopers predicts that video advertising will become so large that it will consume the universe, which will turn on itself and collapse into a black hole. Just kidding. What they really say is video advertising will be responsible for 19 percent of all U.S. advertising growth over the next five years.

Now, stop being lazy and go to the news site to read the rest of the news, so that we don't have to keep summarizing things for you.
