Turn On Your Leading Light

NEW YORK -- Light Reading is now accepting entries for the third annual Leading Lights Awards, in which top public and private companies and their executives will be recognized for their outstanding achievements in the telecommunications industry.

The Leading Lights Awards were launched in 2004, and more than 600 entries have been received since the program's inception. The awards categories and judging criteria have been carefully designed and refined in light of Light Reading's six-plus years of experience analyzing telecommunications technology and services. The judges will take into account feedback from both leading financial analysts and service providers.

The Leading Lights Award winners will be announced before an audience of 200-plus service providers, analysts, and technology and business press at an exclusive, invitation-only gala dinner to take place at Heavy Reading's Links 2006 Executive Summit, at the Four Seasons Resort in Santa Barbara, Calif. (Posh, no? For more info, go here.)

The awards will be judged by a panel composed of Light Reading editors, Heavy Reading analysts, and independent advisory board members that Light Reading will invite from across the industry. Advisory board members will be participating at the Links Executive Summit.

The contest is completely free to enter. The Web pages and entry form are here. But don't drag your feet, because the deadline for entries is October 7.

What to do? Entrants should fill out the Web form in its entirety. The form includes important details that will be used by the judges to evaluate the entries, so please be precise. Hardware and software companies, as well as service providers, are all encouraged to enter.
