The Canadians are coming!
In the past 24 hours, Nortel's Philippe Morin has staged a rally, jumping from ninth place to second, and blasting ahead of Juniper's Kim Perdikou. Morin now has a little more than 8 percent of the total vote and leads Perdikou by 90 votes.
Tech Mahindra CEO Vineet Nayyar still commands a huge lead, but his supporters appear to have lost some steam this week, so all others in the race will have the rest of the month to catch up.
More notes from the polls:
- Infinera's Jagdeep Singh has 10 more votes than Ericsson's Carl-Henric Svanberg.
- Joost CEO Mike Volpi has more votes than BigBand CEO Amir Bassan-Eskenazi and Time Warner Cable's Paul Brooks combined. But even Volpi doesn't yet have 1 percent of the total vote.
The Person of the Year poll closes September 28, which is also the entry deadline for the remaining Leading Lights awards categories. To submit your entry for Leading Lights, go to www.lightreading.com/awards.
