MWC14: Small, Virtual & Secure

BARCELONA -- Mobile World Congress 2014 -- The largest single industry event in the telecom calendar is almost over and, as usual, there's been a staggering amount of information to take in.

While much of the mainstream media attention has been on smartphones and the keynote by one Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, the increasing variety of small cell architectures and strategies, the impact of virtualization technologies on vendor and service provider strategies, and security have been the major trends on the networking side.

Check out Light Reading's written, pictorial and video coverage of this year's MWC at our MWC content page. (See Mobile World Congress Show Site.)

And there's plenty more to come in the form of post-show analysis of all the major news, trends, and coffee tasting.

Re: That Zuckerberg guy Technically, he got tons of attention pre-WhatsApp. I guess that's something to mention at your next party.

MWC14: Small, Virtual & Secure @nasimson, agreed.  In addition, I am interested in the predictions and insights on virtualization technology.

Re: That Zuckerberg guy @ Editors:

We'll appreciate if some coverage & analysis is provided of the Zuckerberg's address at MWC.

Should be really insightful.

Re: That Zuckerberg guy That Zuckerberg guy seems to get a lot of attention. I can't imagine why. Hold on, I just got a msg via WhatsApp... Oh. that's why.
