Moonves at MIXX

5:45 PM -- Today on Contentinople:

  • Speaking at Interactive Advertising Bureau's MIXX Conference in New York, CBS president Les Moonves said CNET will help the company boost its ad revenue, especially on the local level. Also, though most of CBS's revenue will "still by and far be on the [TV] network," he acknowledged the power of the Internet in reaching viewers, such as those of The CW's Gossip Girl, and in testing new shows.

  • DigiMeld introduced its SuperStream "grid streaming" service (sounds like P2P, to us).

  • MTV Networks acquired Social Project Inc. to power its Flux social media platform.

And in today's News Bits, Hulu enhances its site features.
