Apple's Sour Note
But it's not all sweet as Apple pie for the company. While the iPhone vendor revels in its strong quarterly results, Belgium's antitrust authorities are being urged to embark on an investigation into the possible abuse of Apple's dominant position in the digital newspaper market, reports EurActiv.
Belgium's economy minister believes Apple's strategy of selling exclusive newspaper subscriptions for the iPad through its online iTunes store is unfair. An investigation in Belgium could lead to a wider probe by the European Commission , which has already undertaken an antitrust investigation of the company. (See EU Drops Apple iPhone Investigation.)
