700 MHz Auctions, Round 12

Dan Jones
1/29/2008

5:45 PM -- A late rally in the last of today's 700 MHz auction rounds saw the bids grow by $823 million to $8.7 billion. That is up over $2 billion on the start of the wireless broadband auction this morning.

The FCC will start the process all over again tomorrow morning. If this bidding pace continues, the 50-state, eight-license tranche of prime C band spectrum should top $4 billion tomorrow.
