Multi-year agreement with Cablevisión to secure its new Cablevisión Flow service and provide access to its line of VCAS revenue security solutions.

SAN DIEGO -- Verimatrix, the specialist in securing and enhancing revenue for multi-network, multi-screen digital TV services around the globe, today announced a multi-year agreement with Cablevisión S.A. to secure its new Cablevisión Flow service and provide access to its line of Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS™) revenue security solutions. Cablevisión, one of Argentina’s largest telecommunications companies, is able to deploy the mix of VCAS solutions that best matches its network and video delivery goals as its services and subscriber base evolve, including a mixture of linear and on-demand support and premium ultra HD (UHD) content security.
Cablevisión is upgrading its revenue security platform as part of a larger plan to develop an all-IP network and to ensure its Flow service is secure. Flow is Cablevisión’s new TV anytime, anywhere service delivered via its IPTV and over-the-top (OTT) networks and features a groundbreaking user interface available across multiple screens and a hybrid set-top box. VCAS™ for Broadcast Hybrid, part of the initial Verimatrix deployment, is a multi-network revenue security solution that draws on the strengths of VCAS for IPTV and VCAS for Internet TV to enable combinations of RF and multicast linear, and streamed on demand content delivery, while ensuring integrated rights management. MultiRights™ OTT has also been deployed to provide Cablevisión with a harmonized rights management solution by bringing together all CE devices with embedded, non-Verimatrix clients under the VCAS unified revenue security umbrella.
“The highly configurable VCAS architecture provides us with the agility we need to evolve our multi-network, multi-screen services so that they are responsive to customer demand and ahead of the competition,” said Laura Lozes, Cablevisión’s product manager. “Working with Verimatrix and its proven partner ecosystem has given us confidence to build the first true TV anytime and anywhere platform in the country.”
The agreement includes a comprehensive support infrastructure offered through the Verimatrix Global Services team, including a dedicated Technical Account Manager (TAM), serving as a trusted technical advisor and optimizing Cablevisión’s investment in Verimatrix solutions. By working closely with Cablevisión’s technical team, Verimatrix provides ongoing system analysis that enables them to take full advantage of VCAS releases and upgrades, and provides forward visibility of operational trends and issues.
