TEL AVIV, Israel -– Tvinci today announced the launch of a complete end-to-end Pay-OTT (Over-the-Top) video platform. The company’s Tvinci MediaHubTM and Tvinci MediaStoreTM have been developed to meet the industry need for a new monetization layer to OTT video content through direct payments (Pay Per View, subscriptions, coupons etc). Tvinci's platform enables content owners and network operators to offer a consistent content consumption experience across any internet enabled device: PC / Mac, Connected TV, STB, games console, smartphone and iPad.

“We believe that now, as a result of internet TV's expansion into the living room and onto an increasing number of devices, the time is right for pay-OTT video content,” said Yonatan Sela, VP Marketing, Tvinci. “Current paid content initiatives are constructive for testing the various business models and the responsiveness of the audience, but they have only provided a preview of the new ways in which people will consume a significant amount of their content. This future for paid content is made possible through the Tvinci platform, and we are currently seeing innovative operators around the world beginning to implement these new services.”

In a separate release:

Tvinci, the Pay-OTT video platform provider, today announced that it has been selected by Projector.tv, the home of cultural entertainment online, to power its online video portal. Projector is the UK’s alternative entertainment brand, specializing in independent films, world cinema, international documentaries and television programming. Projector.tv, currently in beta mode, will be publically launched in June 2010, initially on the PC and later on Connected TVs, set-top boxes (STBs) and iPad.
