February 15, 2011
BARCELONA -- Argela, a leading provider of telecom solutions for fixed and mobile operators and AirHop, the leading provider of advanced RAN intelligence for heterogeneousnetworks, today announced their collaboration to provide operators with the industry’s first femtocell to incorporate Advanced SON. Argela’s next-generation femtocell which uses AirHop’s sophisticated eSON technology can actively mitigate “real world” operating issues via real-time, dynamic, intercell management and coordination. By developing femtocells that are designed to optimize spectrum reuse, improve performance and manage interference, AirHop and Argela are providing operators with the first femtocell solution that is both deployment-friendly for operators and user-friendly for customers.
A demonstration illustrating the significant advantages of Argela’s eSON-powered femtocells will be shown at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain from February 14-17, 2011 at Hall 1 in Booth C13.
