Tata Enters Global CDN Market

Using content delivery network (CDN) technology from its strategic partnership with startup BitGravity Inc. , India's Tata Communications Ltd. is ready to sell its content delivery services worldwide.

Following up on a partnership announced in March, Tata says it is ready to go to market after fully deploying BitGravity's technology throughout its global network. With the launch of its CDN services in Europe, Asia, North America, and India, the company is ramping up sales to existing customers and hoping to attract new ones.

Genius Wong, senior vice president of Tata's global IP and VPN services, says the company is trying to attract customers that have a need for CDN services worldwide. "We're working with global content providers that need a global solution," Wong says.
