PARIS -- Siemens AG has signed a five-year, 80 million euro MPLS-based IP VPN contract with Orange Business Services to migrate a large portion of its worldwide network to Orange, its new trusted partner. Orange Business Services is now designing and migrating 1,100-site Siemens Wide Area Network (WAN) across 70 countries in Africa, Asia, Southwest Europe and North & Latin America.

Siemens was looking for a flexible provider solution that supports global reach, a reliable and broad portfolio of services, as well as the ability to support future convergence over the network. Orange Business Services won the business and beat out other competitors in the bidding process. Our high security standards, quality of service, local support and attractive price-performance ratio of the Orange solution were the overriding reasons for Siemens’ decision.

Dr. Norbert Kleinjohann, CIO of Siemens, is very pleased with its new partner: “Orange Business Services provides us with a global, future-oriented network at an attractive price.” Siemens’ requirements in communication services set the benchmark for Orange Business Services.
