Path 1, Frontiers Team

SAN DIEGO -- Path 1 Network Technologies Inc. (OTC: PNOT.PK) and Frontiers Co., both pioneers in IP transmission technology for high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) real-time digital video, announced today an agreement for Frontiers' Japanese manufacturing and assembly of Path 1's Cx1020 and Ax120 IP video gateway products. Path 1's products have been available for sale in Japan via Frontiers for the past 38 months and will now be produced locally to better serve Frontiers customers and the growing Japanese market. Localized production will be available in fall 2006.

Path 1 has a broad portfolio of IP video transmission equipment and supplies its products worldwide. Frontiers, in addition to reselling and supporting Path 1's video gateway products, develops and markets additional products that incorporate Path 1's technologies. At Interop/IMC Tokyo 2006 held earlier this month, Frontiers won the Grand Prix award for its demonstration of IP video transmission equipment in which Path 1's technology was an integral component.

Frontiers' ability to produce Path 1's video gateways domestically will allow Frontiers to better serve its customers by having additional control over the manufacturing process and customization activities. Additionally, Frontiers will be able to provide a comprehensive domestic support depot for the installed base of IP video gateways.

Path 1's Cx1020 and Ax120 are IP video gateways that transport 270 Mbps SDI/SDTI video over IP and compressed ASI video over IP, respectively. Major Japanese broadcasters already use these gateways for video distribution between affiliates and international content distribution between news centers and production facilities. Additional applications include telemedicine and remote education. "The Cx1020 and Ax120 continue to enjoy success in the Japanese market, as both of these products help transition Japanese broadcasters and telecommunications companies from analog to digital, a transition that is being accelerated by Japan's impending deregulation of video distribution over IP networks and satellites," said Jeff Hale, Vice President of Sales at Path 1. Both Path 1 and Frontiers' products enable the transport of either SD or HD video with forward error correction, delivering live broadcast events over IP networks with perfect video quality.
