Jeff Templer is the new Chief Financial Officer; Ilan Rabinovich is VP Engineering

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- CyOptics Inc. (www.cyoptics.com), a leading developer of optoelectronic transmission components for 40Gbps and ultra-long-haul transmission, today announced it has named Jeff Templer as Chief Financial Officer and Ilan Rabinovich as VP Engineering. Jeff Templer joins CyOptics with over 20 years experience as principal financial officer of several technology driven manufacturing companies. Most recently, Templer was CFO of Inverness Medical Technology, where he helped engineer a recovery of profitability and stock valuation. Prior to Inverness, he was CFO of Aerovox Inc. and Elcint Inc., and CFO and CEO of Freudenberg NA, where he drove the implementation of integrated information and planning systems and developed the firm's strategic acquisition program. Mr. Templer has an MBA from Harvard Business School, and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Salem State College.
CyOptics has also announced Ilan Rabinovich as VP Engineering. With 17 years of expertise in the semiconductor industry, Mr. Rabinovich joins CyOptics after serving as Director of Progress Engineering and Yield Enhancement at Tower Semiconductor, a National Semiconductor spin-off. Prior to Tower, Mr. Rabinovich was involved in the development of infrared devices in the Soreq Nuclear Center in Israel.
