Network analytics firm bags Brian Naughton.

HELSINKI -- Accanto Systems is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Naughton, former Head of IBM’s Telco Software Business, as Chief Technology Officer. Naughton brings over 20 years’ experience combining software and product strategy with a track record of innovation and transformation in the Telco industry; most recently shaping IBM’s software portfolio for Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) and founding industry initiatives such as ETSI’s Mobile Edge Computing. Naughton’s appointment is a testament to Accanto’s rapid growth and its move to become the market leader in network analytics.
As CTO, Naughton will lead the strategy and evolution of Accanto’s Network Middleware and Analytics capabilities into the emerging NFV space, leveraging Accanto’s customer analytics to automate the orchestration of network tasks that deliver immediate customer benefit. On his appointment, Naughton comments, “The flexibility of software defined networking and virtual networks brings significant automation and agility opportunities to Service Providers. Accanto’s iCEM platform is in a great position to provide the trusted control that Service Providers need in order to implement their automation strategies at their pace.”
Naughton’s experience of both Telco and IT industries which brings a deep knowledge of Operator requirements, combined with experience in driving state of the art in IT technology, provides a unique perspective on how an Operator could transform their business through technology.
