NTT Opens R&D Center

TOKYO and SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (TOKYO: 9432; NYSE: NTT), the world's largest global IT and telecommunications services holding company, will establish NTT Innovation Institute, Inc. (NTT I3), a new R&D center in San Mateo, California on April 1 to accelerate the development and provision of highest-grade information security and cloud computing technologies. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT, NTT I3 will initially focus on promoting the development of services tailored to the North American market.
