FREMONT, Calif. -- The Network Processing Forum (NP Forum) today announced the appointment of Misha Nossik, co-founder and executive vice president of Solidum Systems, to Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NP Forum. Nossik replaces Chuck Sannipoli who vacated the position in January. Nossik had served as vice-chairman and treasurer of the Forum since its inception in February 2001. "I am honored to be named Chairman of the NP Forum Board of Directors and am committed to achieving its mission -- to encourage the growth and effective use of network processing technology through development of interface specifications, benchmarking specifications, and education of the market," said Nossik. "The NP Forum membership has grown significantly since the organization's inception, and we are making good progress toward achieving our goals." Nossik co-founded Solidum in 1997. As executive vice president, he is currently responsible for Solidum's product management and product marketing, as well as the company's participation in industry standards bodies.
