New Edge Names Sales VP

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- New Edge Networks, a national business broadband connections provider, today announced the appointment of Stephen E. Lovas as vice president of sales. The appointment is effective immediately.

Lovas will be responsible for directing the company's overall strategies for selling business broadband connectivity services through wholesale, direct and alternate distribution channels. Lovas reports to Dan Moffat, president and CEO of New Edge Networks. He will be based in New York.

"Steve is an experienced business and sales leader with a proven track record and broad knowledge of telecommunications industry applications and trends," Moffat said. "We look forward to his contributions for helping New Edge Networks achieve its aggressive sales and revenue targets."

Lovas has held executive positions in general management, sales and marketing, finance, and business development with various telecommunications companies. These include Pacific Telecom and subsidiary companies, Pangea Ltd., Chandalar Communications, and Bulldog Teleworks, a voice and data solutions provider that he co-founded

Lovas has a bachelor's degree in economics from Brown University in Providence, R.I.
