Wilson, who as Editor-in-Chief at Telephony Online and Connected Planet (formerly Telephony) at Penton Business Media manages a staff of six and writes daily for that site, is one of the most recognized and quoted journalists in the communications industry. She’ll be joining Light Reading on Oct. 26, where she will be driving all live and virtual event content for Light Reading’s worldwide conferences and expos, as well as writing and reporting breaking news and analysis for lightreading.com, by far the largest telecom news and analysis Website.

“In addition, Carol in her new role will be able to use her unparalleled knowledge of the telecom industry business and technology to create new content products and services that meet the needs of both our communications service provider readership and the vendor community that serves it.”

Wilson will be based in her office in Skokie, Illinois.
