SAN FRANCISCO -- interNetwork Inc. today announced that it will now conduct business under the name Q Inc. The company is making the change to establish a unique identity in the software testing industry. Q Inc (Q) is also launching its new brand identity and web site which can be found at

The decision to operate under the name Q reflects significant growth in the breadth and sophistication of the company's software solutions. The product family has been focused on smartTest load testing software „Ÿ the first integrated Layer 2-7 solution for "real user" testing. smartTest allows hardware devices and networks to be tested under real world conditions to identify device/application weaknesses, pinpoint performance bottlenecks, and assess scalability limits.

smartTest will be renamed Q-realTest, and is joined by Q-realAgent, a groundbreaking agent technology offered by Q that measures and proactively manages the characteristics of a network from the customerfs perspective. Q-realAgent provides service providers, hardware manufacturers and enterprises with a level of insight into the user experience that has previously been unattainable using traditional testing processes and systems. Both Q-realTest and Q-realAgent will be marketed as part of the Q-realSuite family of solutions.
