Finland's Elisa expands and extends Amdocs' managed services contract.
November 7, 2013
ST. LOUIS -- Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, and Elisa, Finland’s leading provider of wireless, wireline, broadband Internet and cable TV services have signed an agreement expanding and extending the existing managed services relationship between the companies through 2018. Under the new agreement, referenced in Elisa’s recent fiscal 2013 third-quarter results report, Amdocs will be managing Elisa’s IT systems across multiple lines of business, expanding its support of Elisa’s Amdocs billing systems to cover additional legacy billing and third-party mediation systems. Managed services delivered will include applications development, operation and maintenance.
“We recognize Amdocs’ depth of experience in billing and telecom IT operations and see this agreement as a natural expansion of our relationship which started in 2005,” said Timo Katajisto, chief technology officer at Elisa. “Outsourcing our entire billing operation to Amdocs and appointing Amdocs as the single point of contact for our multiple suppliers will allow Elisa to further reduce operational risk and focus its attention on growing new lines of business.”
