Mobile World Congress: Our Key Players

It's February, the snow won't let up, and thoughts of tapas, small cells, and the crowded streets of Las Ramblas are uppermost in my mind. It can only mean one thing -- it's almost time for Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Mobile World Congress is the year's biggest mobile service provider show, and, as always, the Light Reading and Heavy Reading teams will be there in full force.

If you're going to the show as well, we'd probably love to meet up, but before you pitch Ray on mobile games or Dan Jones on Ethernet, we thought it'd be useful to let you know what key topics we're interested in at the show. It's not an exhaustive list, but, much like the network operators, these coverage areas are our top priorities.

So here are our key players and what they're keen on. If you're a good fit, reach out! If not, no hard feelings. We hope to bump into you on the show floor -- or the bar -- either way.

Expanding coverage areas Btw, if you've already earmarked this list, be sure to check back. Our coverage areas are expanding a bit as we flesh out what's going to be important at the show. I, for example, am taking on M2M now as well.

And, turns out, Caroline covers much more than just cloudy things. :)

Re: Ready for the kick off HI Gareth

I am not sure the mic tech has yet been invented to make an online radio show audible form the MWC show floor.... :-)

The live reportage thing, tho, is deffo something for the future. When we are ready to run wit it we'll give you a call...

Re: Ready for the kick off I'm not sure about radio shows (although love that idea!), but definitely doing lots of videos -- interviews and vlogs -- as well as snapping pics.

Re: Ready for the kick off Will you be hosting any of your radio shows live from the event? Would be great to have some discussions from the exhibition floor.

Re: Ready for the kick off If we're not experts now, we certainly will be after the show! I expect it to include a ton of great content along all of these themes. Hopefully some real operator progress on the small cells and VoLTE fronts too...

Ready for the kick off Thanks for sharing. Looks like a strong line-up of subject matter experts. Can't wait to start reading the breaking stories.

MWC topics These lists are not exhaustive, of course, but are there any other topics that aren't on here that you think will be big themes of the show? Let us know!
