There is no shortage of challenges to small cell deployments, but growth projections for the mini basestations remain strong.

In fact, Broadcom Corp. (Nasdaq: BRCM) predicts that they will carry half of all mobile data traffic by 2015, by which time they will be just one part of wireless operators' heterogenous network strategies.
