LONDON -- Augere, South Asia's fastest growing mobile broadband business, has now reached the 200,000 customer mark across its key markets of Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Augere, which operates under the Qubee brand name, has seen its customer base in Bangladesh grow to 125,000 whilst in Pakistan, they have reached the 75,000 mark. These figures compare to 45,000 and 42,000 respectively this time in 2011 - demonstrating a combined 230% year on year increase.

A real emerging market success story, Augere's first commercial wireless network was launched under the Qubee brand in Pakistan in July 2009. This was closely followed by the Bangladesh network in October 2009 and by the end of 2011 Augere was operating wireless networks comprising more than 700 radio base stations.
