UK Ethernet service provider names Simon Acott as director of Voice Solutions
November 29, 2006
LONDON -- Exponential-e, the specialist provider of bespoke Ethernet solutions to the enterprise community, has appointed Simon Acott as Director of Voice Solutions. Acott is tasked with enhancing the company’s existing voice portfolio, with a particular emphasis on maximising the flexibility and mobility that VoIP services offer businesses.
As well as product development, Acott will be responsible for the commercial and technical agreements, pre and post sales support and training of staff. He joins Exponential-e from wireless broadband provider The Cloud, where he was director of business development and site acquisition, working with those companies who have a large number of sites across the UK through which they could offer wi-fi access.
Prior to his time at The Cloud Acott was head of wholesale and products at Viatel, where he re-structured the company’s predominantly data service portfolio to include voice, hosted services and gateway services.
Commenting on Acott’s appointment, Lee Wade, managing director, Exponential-e said: “VoIP isn’t simply about eliminating the costs associated with running a separate voice and data network. It’s about introducing the benefits of mobility and flexibility into the business environment. Simon undoubtedly has the expertise and knowledge to help us deliver these feature-rich services to our customers”.
