TEMPE, Ariz. -- Limelight Networks, a leadingcontent delivery network for digital media, today announced it hasestablished a wholly-owned Japanese subsidiary, Limelight Networks Japan,Inc., with headquarters located in Tokyo. Limelight Networks Japan isheaded by Shinji Tsukamoto, president of the new firm, which will focus onproviding Limelight's digital content delivery network (CDN) services toJapanese customers and partners.

"There is a strong demand in Japan for the Internet distribution ofvideo, music, games, social media and e-commerce," said David Hatfield,senior vice president of worldwide sales, marketing and services atLimelight Networks. "From our Japanese subsidiary, we will be able todeliver world-class customer service for Japanese media, entertainment ande-commerce companies that require real-time content delivery acrossmultiple platforms and browsers to audiences of any size, and the abilityto cost-effectively scale their capacity to accommodate high growth."
