MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Kestrel Solutions, Inc., has been awarded a master purchase contract by a Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC) for Kestrel's optical transport products, the TalonMX (tm) family. The agreement does not allow disclosure of the customer name. Kestrel is currently shipping product to the RBOC under this agreement. Under the terms of the deal, Kestrel is providing TalonMX products for key applications across the RBOC's network, as well as Kestrel's Element Management System (EMS) for centralized control of the network. In order to obtain this contract, Kestrel was required to meet the technical stringent criteria, including OSMINE (Operations Systems Modifications for the Integration of Network Elements) certification, that are typically only met by large public companies. OSMINE is an industry-wide standard that must be met in order to be considered for deployment in the large public networks. "These relationships are extremely hard to forge, but RBOCs can see that they will receive significant value by adding the Talon to their network," said Kestrel Sr. Vice President David Yoffie, General Manager of the Systems Line of Business. "Our entire organization has been focused on how to provide next generation products and technology to large telecommunication service providers, and this is clear validation that we are on the right track." Kestrel remains focused on providing next generation products and technology to large telecommunication service providers.Kestrel Solutions Inc.
