TOKYO -- KDDI (TSE: 9433) is pleased to announce that by the end of February 2004, subscriptions to DION ADSL exceeded 1 million. Since January 2001, DION ADSL has provided a wide range of service options including a high-speed 40Mbps service, 1Mbps service for an economical fee, and a service that bundles IP phone service to Internet access.

In July 2002, KDDI started to provide the industry's first "Set Up Service On Call," where KDDI engineers visit users' homes and premises to set up the ADSL modem, PC, connections and other required functions to support the ADSL line. KDDI also provides a toll free number where users can call for support on a 24 hours basis.

In November 2003, KDDI launched "Sesame BB," a broadband content program for all family members. On February 20, 2004, KDDI launched a "DION ADSL 1 Million Sesame Campaign" promoting "Sesame BB" to an even wider range of potential users.
