SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR - News) today announced that PT Aplikanusa Lintasarta has deployed a next-generation IP/MPLS network using its M-series routing platforms. The new network, Juniper Networks' first major network deployment in Indonesia, now provides highly scaleable, multiservice IP VPN capabilities with Quality of Service (QoS) to corporate users in Indonesia.

Lintasarta is a private company under the publicly listed Indosat Group -- Indonesia's leading telecommunications service provider. The Juniper Networks routing platforms have enabled Lintasarta to develop and deploy a new range of premium, revenue-generating business services, including SmartBusiness for Data, Business for Data and Voice, and PriorityBusiness for Multiple Data and Voice.

"The move to a consolidated IP/MPLS network to enable the delivery of enhanced services is a key element of our network development strategy," said Lintasarta President Director Yoyo Waluyo Basuki. "We selected Juniper Networks because the products offer best-in-class IP/MPLS capabilities with unmatched dependability, security and service richness. In addition, the design architecture enabled us to protect and build upon our existing investments in ATM and Frame Relay while reducing operational costs with scale to meet changing customer requirements."

Lintasarta chose the Juniper Networks platforms after a request for proposal bidding process followed by extensive product testing with criteria that included scalability and performance testing.

"Lintasarta has built the foundation for an Infranet with an IP/MPLS infrastructure designed from the ground up with the intelligence, QoS and security needed to deliver an assured customer experience," said Wan Ahmad Kamal, Juniper Networks sales director for Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Vietnam. "With the M-series, Lintasarta can easily scale the network, add new services and expand its customer base, ensuring long-term investment protection."
