David Anderson, previous CEO of Silicon Valley Networks, appointed Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development Operations

CALABASAS, Calif. -- Ixia (Nasdaq:XXIA) today announced that it has appointed David Anderson as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development Operations. Mr. Anderson joined Ixia in August 2001 as Vice President of Business Development to help position Ixia into carrier and enterprise markets. He will be replacing Paul Mallinder who has decided to leave Ixia to spend more time with his family. Mr. Mallinder has been with Ixia for three years and will continue to be involved in the business operations of the Company through the end of the year. Mr. Anderson brings to Ixia over 20 years of experience in key sales and business development roles at leading technology companies. Previously, he was CEO of Silicon Valley Networks, a communications test measurement company which was sold to Verecomm. His experience also includes building successful sales organizations at high tech companies such as Pure Atria (where he was Vice President of Sales and Corporate Marketing) and Mercury Interactive (where he was Vice President of Sales). Mr. Anderson received a BSEE and BSCS from the University of California at Berkeley.
