Ilotron Names VP

KENT, U.K. -- Optical networks specialist ilotron today announced the appointment of Scott White as its Vice President of Business Development. White will play a key role in the development and implementation of ilotron's dynamic expansion strategy, and the strengthening of partner and customer relationships.

White brings a rare combination of deep technical knowledge and an excellent understanding of business strategy. He was co-founder of Atmosphere Networks, a California-based developer of optical edge switches, and held the position of Director of Technology and Business Development. Previously, he was responsible for marketing and finance at the Australian Cooperative Research Centre for Broadband Telecommunications and Networking, with a primary mandate for technology commercialisation. White also has experience in management consulting, having spent two years with McKinsey and Company.
