SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- IDT (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; Nasdaq: IDTI), a leading communications IC provider, today announced shipments of its 32Kx72 and 64Kx72 full-ternary devices from its Internet protocol (IP) co-processor family. IDT also disclosed its plan to provide future higher-performance IP co-processors as well as integrated devices to support standards-compliant network processor interfaces. At 100 million database lookups per second and search widths up to 576 bits, IDT's 32Kx72 and 64Kx72 full-ternary products represent the industry's fastest and widest search accelerators on the market. In the first quarter of next year, IDT also plans to ship a 128Kx72 IP co-processor operating at 133 million database lookups per second. This family of pin- and software-compatible devices is based on the integration of content addressable memory (CAM) technology and high performance logic, and offers enhanced features to enable significant power savings and database management in switching and routing applications."A strong roadmap and network processor interface strategy, combined with manufacturing capabilities and reputation in the industry, makes IDT a strong player in this emerging market," said Bob Wheeler, senior analyst at The Linley Group.
