Time Warner Cable Business Class offering expedited services to help lower Manhattan businesses recover from Hurrican Sandy
December 18, 2012
NEW YORK -- Time Warner Cable Business Class (TWCBC), a division of Time Warner Cable, is offering expedited installation services to Lower Manhattan businesses to help them recover from Hurricane Sandy by providing essential phone, Internet, TV, cloud and network services.
TWCBC’s infrastructure in Lower Manhattan, due to its composition of both its traditional hybrid-fiber coaxial network and in some areas, 100-percent fiber optic network, suffered minimal damage from the storm’s floods. The company began providing communications services to the downtown business community in 1998 and today serves thousands of businesses within the area.
TWCBC’s teams were on the ground immediately following Sandy, working with the management of affected buildings and began to offer expedited services soon after power was restored to Lower Manhattan. The company was able to perform maintenance work on its subterranean network.
