AUSTIN, Texas -- When Foundry Networks' (Nasdaq: FDRY - News) NetIron® XMR 32000 Core Router won "Best of Show" at Interop Tokyo 2006 earlier this year, it was great news not only for Foundry Networks, but also for Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE:FSL - News, FSL.B - News). The router uses Freescale's MPC8541E PowerQUICC(TM) III integrated communications processors on each of its line cards and Freescale's MPC7447A processor based on Power Architecture(TM) technology on its management card.

"We love it when our customers win awards," said Lynelle McKay, vice president and general manager of Freescale's Digital Systems Division. "We work hard to deliver advanced products and customer support that help ensure marketplace success for our customers. We look forward to working with Foundry Networks for years to come, because for me, the highest award we can win as a company is the continued trust of our customers."
