MILAN -- FASTWEB will offer ADSL connections with constant download bandwith of 6 Mbps and upload of 512 Kbps to both its flat and pay-as-you-go clients starting from 1st April.

The “Opzione 6 Megabit” will be offered free of charge, following technical verification of the quality of the copper line, to both new and existing clients (a one-off 50 Euro charge will be levied only to existing customers not paying by credit card or direct debit).

FASTWEB confirms to be the technological leader on the Italian broadband market thanks to its fully independent infrastructure since inception that enables to differentiate in terms of both bandwith offered and service portfolio.

During the activation or upgrade process, FASTWEB will verify the quality of the copper line testing the continuity of the 6 Mbps connection. The outcome of such verification will be easily accessible on FASTWEB’s web site through a dedicated tool made available to the clients.
