SonicWALL Picks Cavium Processors

SonicWALL uses Cavium's Nitrox security processor in its PRO 2040 and PRO 5060 platforms to accelerate VPN performance

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Cavium Networks, the cost and performance leader in security processing solutions today announced that SonicWALL's (NASDAQ: SNWL) recently announced PRO 2040 and PRO 5060 platforms use Cavium's NITROX security processor to accelerate VPN performance. The NITROX Security processor family is used by networking OEM vendors in a wide variety of applications such as IPsec VPNs, SSL VPNs, Web serv ers, Wireless Gateways, Secure Storage, Switches and Routers.
