SAN JOSE, Calif. -- netVmg, the emerging leader in the intelligent route control space today announced the general availability of its Flow Control Platform (FCP) 2.0, including its Flow Control Software release 2.0 and multiple network appliance form factors, enabling predictable network performance, visibility of actual end-to-end performance, and reduced networking costs. The products scale to even the largest networks and can be used to optimize VPN traffic flows between branch offices and corporate data centers across both private network-based and Internet-based links. To measure actual traffic performance, the FCP monitors an organization's actual traffic flows with its non-intrusive passive flow analysis software-without adding data or probes to the wire or introducing additional complexity. This architectural approach supports all types of traffic, enables accurate measurements, and allows the FCP to scale an order of magnitude greater than alternative approaches. "Because cost containment is a priority among large enterprises, products that make the most of existing resources while achieving business priorities will attract a lot of attention in the near-term," said Paul Bugala, senior analyst at IDC. "Products like netVmg's Flow Control Platform 2.0 can help these organizations optimize their access investments by providing predictable Internet performance to branch offices and remote access to individual employees."
