NetScreen Ex-VP Joins Motorola

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) announced today that Anson Chen has been named corporate vice president of Motorola's Global Software Group (GSG), effective immediately. Chen will report to Padmasree Warrior, Motorola's chief technology officer and will oversee Motorola's software efforts around the globe with a broad portfolio of technologies.

Anson's demonstrated excellence in software development, as well as his experience assimilating acquired technologies, will make him a valuable addition to our team."

Chen most recently served as vice president of research and development at Juniper/NetScreen Technologies, Inc. Prior to joining Juniper/NetScreen, he was a vice president at Cisco Systems, Inc. and general manager of its Network Management and Services Technology Group. In that role, he led large-scale software development initiatives and managed Cisco's technology integration and product convergence teams following a number of acquisitions. Earlier in his career Chen served in various engineering roles at Convergent Technologies/Unisys and VISA. He brings more than 18 years of experience developing embedded systems, networking protocols, middleware services and network management applications.
