RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- NetOctave, Inc., a leading developer of security processors and security accelerator boards for the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), IPsec (Internet Protocol Security), and IP Storage markets, will demonstrate the NSP2000B-SSL Security Accelerator Board at the Networld+Interop Las Vegas 2002 tradeshow in booth #2951. The demonstration will highlight NetOctave's NSP2000B-SSL Security Accelerator Board performing greater than 1,700 SSL transactions per second in a standard server appliance platform. NetOctave will demonstrate the NSP2000B-SSL Security Accelerator Board running in a Dell 1650 server appliance system running Red Hat Linux 7.1. "The key metrics for security acceleration hardware are not raw algorithm performance or system-level performance running in high-end multi-processor servers that are not cost-effective for use in products," said NetOctave CEO Rick Hegberg. "System designers need to see security accelerator hardware performance in the same industry-standard appliances that they use to build their own products. With this demonstration, NetOctave shows what the NSP2000B-SSL can deliver for OEM customers in a standard platform that has processing power and costs similar to what they use." NetOctave Inc.
