WEMACOM chooses Telco Systems and ITM for multi-service MPLS network

MANSFIELD, Mass. and AMSTERDAM -- Telco Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC,TASE: BATM) and developer of CE2.0 compliant multi-service Carrier Ethernet access, MPLS and SDN solutions, announced today that WEMACOM Telecommunication GmbH, a German major regional utility and city carrier and subsidiary of WEMAG AG, has chosen Telco Systems’ end-to-end MPLS-based solutions for its multi-service fiber network deployments.

Telco Systems joined forces with ITM, its certified partner and leading integrator of telecommunication networks, to provide WEMACOM Telecommunication GmbH with a complete networking solution. ITM has been providing advanced telecommunications, IP technologies, and system integration solutions in Germany and Austria to major telecom operators & service providers for over 25 years.

WEMACOM GmbH’s network initially supported the power grid of its mother company, becoming a regional and city carrier in 1999. WEMACOM offers services in the northeastern part of Germany, where they offer leased line services, DSL, wireless and phone services. Using Telco Systems’ solution, the company is planning to offer new innovative services, like cloud-based services, smart grid backhaul services for consumers, enterprise dedicated services and business services, as well as offering services to other providers.
